Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” and other stars from a galaxy far, far away

Plot

Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young brothers is the same one that Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)..

From the previews I thought it was going to be terrible

Appeared in the Crazy Cartoon Cast of AniMat: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). I only watched the first episode and was amazed at how funny it was.

I have high hopes for this

Sort of a Spielberg-style Star Wars. It may be geared towards kids, but I still enjoy this style of storytelling at my advanced age.

There’s a little social commentary as well

The first episode was fun and engaging, and flowed well, and didn’t take itself too seriously. It’s the second best series so far behind Endor, but that may change with more episodes.

I think this series is a good direction for the Disney/Star Wars combination. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
